BUYING GUIDES

How to read an adjustable dumbbell listing

A headline number can describe one hand, the pair or a single unit. Settle the unit count and stage before you compare anything else.

The short answer

A pair advertised at 100 lb combined may describe the same maximum as a 50 lb dumbbell in each hand. Equally, an expansion kit is not a complete starting dumbbell. Write down the brand, exact series, stage, unit count and weight units from the selected variant, and keep the product identifier with them.

Per hand, per pair, per unit

Both starting pairs documented on this site are described as reaching 50 lb per dumbbell. A pair totalling 100 lb does not give you 100 lb in one hand. Confirm whether the listing is a pair or a single unit, and whether weights are in pounds or kilograms.

A familiar name is not an identical set

A similar title or shared brand does not establish an identical set. Our references are PowerBlock Elite EXP Stage 1 (B00A21NRNO) and the red Core Home Fitness pair (B01J8S38LW). For Core, retrieved product data and its canonical identifier did not match, so confirm the selected variant is the set described.

Included parts and accessories

Write three short lines: supplied with the offer, required for your setup, and optional later. The Core set includes two cradles and the elevated stand is separate. The PowerBlock starting pair does not include later expansion kits, covered in expansion kits: what to check first. A lifestyle photograph with a stand is not a list of supplied items.

Compare the total you would actually pay

Compare offers for the same complete setup with the same unit count: item price, shipping, tax and required accessories. Keep optional future expansion separate. Matsfit does not display live prices or stock, and an old discount cannot establish the terms available to you today.

Frequently asked questions

Not necessarily. A pair advertised as 100 lb combined may describe the same maximum as 50 lb per hand. Check the per-dumbbell range in the documentation.

Is an expansion kit a complete dumbbell?

No. Elite EXP kits extend the starting pair and are not a complete starting dumbbell.

Brand, exact series, stage, unit count, weight units and product identifier, plus what is supplied, required and optional.

Does this guide give current prices?

No. Matsfit makes no live price, stock or checkout claim.
