Documented configuration

REP lists six back positions from flat to 90 degrees and three seat positions. The design supports flat and incline use, not decline. The manufacturer distinguishes its open ladder from the AB-4100 and says the AB-3100 is not designed for vertical storage.

When it belongs on the shortlist

Consider it when you need documented flat and incline positions and can keep the bench in a permitted storage arrangement. Exclude it if decline or upright storage is a hard requirement. This is a fit judgment, not a measured assessment of comfort or stability.

Use the current manufacturer drawing and assembly instructions to check access and layout. Add the room needed to approach the bench, handle your equipment and move between activities; do not treat the bench outline alone as the whole training area.
